The editorial – Summer memories… back-to-school project…
Everyone approaches the start of the school year with memories that are better described as summer rather than vacations, as it is true that vacations are not as widespread as the media lead us to believe.
Time of escape, spiritual renewal, family closeness, solitude, period preceding a decisive change in family and/or professional life: everyone will put the words that translate their personal reality.
It is obvious that for the sanctuary, we can only start with this last point because the arrival of a new rector is an event!
Welcome Father Thierry
Sunday August 25 was a great day: in the Notre-Dame Basilica, in the presence of the priest, Father Loïc Gicquel des Touches, Mgr Jacques Habert installed a new rector at the sanctuary, Father Thierry Hénault Morel.
A fine connoisseur of the life and spirituality of Saints Louis and Zélie and Thérèse, he will be able to deploy all his knowledge and experience as a pastor in the service of the sanctuary.
The fact remains that his previous responsibility as parish priest kept him for part of the month of September in the Pays de Domfront.
Concerning the sanctuary, summer rhymed with the closing of the jubilee, the pilgrimage of August 15 " new formula ", more rural, in the footsteps of Louis and Zélie, the week of vacation for single mothers with children, and finally, the departure of Sister Anastasia who goes to Italy. We thank her for all this beautiful mission developed at the sanctuary over 11 years…
