On October 24th, at 20 p.m., The bells of the Notre Dame Basilica in Alençon will ring in unison with those of other sanctuary cities in France, on the occasion of a joint event: The 25th Hour.
Every 2 years, the association Sanctuary Cities in France, Together, the Tourist Office and the Sanctuary are organizing an event to celebrate the extra hour we gain with the switch to winter time.
The goal: to take advantage of this extra hour to discover the association's sanctuaries in a different way.
To celebrate the 25th hour, Alençon Tourism and the Louis and Zélie Sanctuary invites you to experience something truly unique at the Basilica of Alençon!

PROGRAM OF GUIDED TOURS IN THE BASILICA OF OUR LADY OF ALENÇON
Visitors will be guided through an immersive journey within the basilica, illuminated for the occasion to create an atmosphere conducive to rejuvenation and spirituality.
The tour guides will respect the solemnity of the place, while inviting participants to explore their senses.
Visitors will be invited, at several points, to put on a mask to deprive them of their sight and better experience their other senses (hearing, smell, taste).
