What is the Rain of Roses?
“I will spend my heaven doing good on earth […] you will see it will be like a shower of roses. »
Saint Therese
As early as 1992, a religious community took this phrase literally and organized an intercessory vigil in the basilica of Lisieux. Participants are invited to write a “letter of request” to Saint Thérèse. Many people have been granted.
It is a spiritual time with God and Saint Thérèse. The aim is to ask for the intercession of Saint Therese for the intentions that are close to our hearts, through a letter. This letter should be written, if possible, before the Rain of Roses day (otherwise you will find pens, paper, and UNSTAMPED envelopes available).
It should be put in a sealed envelope with your own address on it. All letters will be entrusted to the Carmel of Alençon. They will not be open. They will be sent back to you in a year, before the Rain of Roses 2027.
We encourage people who have received graces, following a Rain of Roses celebration, to contact us now to prepare their testimony. It will be read, either by herself or by us, on October 3rd.
