Rejuvenation week for grandparents
After a busy summer with your children and grandchildren, you are invited to experience a week of rest, renewal and fellowship in the heart of the Louis and Zélie Sanctuary in Alençon.
A week to breathe, pray, nourish oneself spiritually and let oneself be carried away.
In a peaceful and spiritual setting, this week is designed as a time of rest. On the program:
- Daily prayer times at the Shrine (optional)
- Spiritual and thematic conferences adapted to the vocation of grandparents
- Cultural and spiritual visits to Alençon and the Alençon countryside
- Time for sharing, fraternity and exchange
- Moments of relaxation and conviviality
Treat yourself to a relaxing break, following in the footsteps of Louis and Zélie Martin, in the heart of a sanctuary dedicated to family and transmission.
Some program elements
- Welcome on Monday the 7th from 16pm at the pilgrims' hostel,
- Mass at 17:30pm and welcome buffet (19pm)
- Typical day:
- 8 a.m.: Lauds (optional)
- 8:30 a.m.: Breakfast
- 9:30 a.m.: Teaching and/or visits
- 12pm: Mass (optional)
- 12:45 p.m.: Meal
- 14 p.m.: Free time or rest
- 15 p.m.: Cultural or nature excursion in the Alençon region
- 18:30 PM: Vespers (optional)
- 19:15 p.m.: Meal
- 20:30 pm: Movie night or games, or prayer vigil
- End of session: Friday 14:30pm.
Discoveries made this week: Old town of Alençon, Sanctuary sites, Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei (one of the most beautiful villages in France), Museum of Fine Arts and Lace, Saint-Denis-Sur-Sarthon region (birthplace of Zélie), Carrouges castle, Haras national du Pin.
