In the company of Father Thierry Hénault-Morel, rector of this sanctuary, we discover the places linked to the history of the Martin family within this beautiful building: so-called marriage chapel, nave, entrance and square.
Episode 2 – July 7, 2024
Second episode in a series around the Notre Dame d'Alençon church, today a basilica, which for several years was the parish church of the Martin family. Father Thierry Hénault-Morel, rector of the sanctuary, explains and describes the very beautiful Renaissance stained glass window of the “marriage” of Adam and Eve, as well as the upper part of the entrance porch, depicting the transfiguration of our Lord.
Episode 3 – September 16, 2024
Last episode of a series about the church of Notre-Dame d'Alençon, today a basilica, which was for a few years the parish church of the Martin family. Father Thierry Hénault-Morel, rector of the sanctuary, tells us among other things about the baptism of Thérèse and describes the baptismal chapel, which has now become the chapel of Sainte-Thérèse.
