These holidays where Gide and Thérèse could have met

RCF Orne broadcast “Louis and Zélie”, February 07, 2022

They are three years apart. They have the same thirst for truth. They could have met in Normandy... Father Thierry Henault-Morel tells us what happens next...

Three years separate the author of "Earthly Nourishments" from that of "The Story of a Soul." And while their spiritual and moral choices also diverge, both shared a strong desire to escape a painful and ill-adjusted childhood.

For three consecutive years, from 1883 to 1885, their two families spent summer vacations two kilometers apart in Val Richer near Lisieux. Enough to imagine a hypothetical meeting between these two monumental French figures.
