The Pavilion of Louis Martin

April 26, 2021

Louis transformed the pavilion purchased before his marriage in Alençon into a place of healing for his family. It was there that he placed the statue of the Virgin of the Smile, which marked both Zélie and Thérèse.
Very early on, the Louis Martin pavilion attracted the faithful who came in the footsteps of “little Thérèse”. Several religious communities succeeded one another there. Today, it can be visited by contacting the Sanctuary of Alençon, 48 rue Saint Blaise.
