RCF – It was a kiss of love, I felt loved. Saint Therese 2/5
RCF, June 30, 2020
What a sweet memory for me!…
O my dear Mother! with what care did you not prepare me! telling myself that it was not to a man, but to the Good God, that I was going to tell my sins; I was really quite convinced of it, so I made my confession with a great spirit of faith and I even asked you if you shouldn't tell Mr. Ducellier that I loved him with all my heart since it was to the Good God that I was going to speak in his person...
Well informed of everything I had to say and do, I entered the confessional and knelt down, but when I opened the window, Mr. Ducellier saw no one, I was so small that my head was under the seat where the 'we lean on our hands, so he tells me to stay up; obeying immediately, I got up and turned right in front of him to see him clearly, I made my confession like a big girl and I received his blessing with great devotion, because you had told me that at that moment the tears of baby Jesus were going to purify my soul.

Ah! How sweet was the first kiss of Jesus to my soul!…
It was a kiss of love, I felt loved, and I also said: "I love you, I give myself to you forever." There were no demands, no struggles, no sacrifices; for a long time, Jesus and poor little Thérèse had looked at each other and understood each other… That day it was no longer a look but a fusion, they were no longer two, Thérèse had disappeared, like the drop of water that gets lost in the ocean. Jesus remained alone, He was the master, the King.

Shortly after my First Communion, I again went into retreat for my Confirmation. I had prepared myself with great care to receive the visit of the Holy Spirit, I did not understand why great attention was not paid to the reception of this sacrament of Love.
