Who is it for?
This weekend is for everyone, and particularly for those who wonder about the concrete possibilities of living the Gospel in the workplace, between aspiration and daily reality.
The speaker
Ghislain Lafont, married and father of six children, founder of the Entretiens de Valpré, is the former chairman of the supervisory board of Bayard Presse.
Chairing in particular “La Table de Cana”, a network promoting integration through economic activity and training, he is a researcher and dynamic player in the implementation of the principles of the Church in the professional world.
Theme and program
Beyond the conjugal model that Saints Louis and Zélie offer to Christians, there is also sketched the picture of a dynamic professional life, generous and harmoniously embedded in family life.
Zélie and Louis will make atypical choices for their time: Zélie will say that her vocation was to be a "mother of a large family", and indeed she will be. But, at the same time, she will also be a business manager regularly employing around twenty lacemakers. Louis will sell his watchmaking in order to become a merchant for his wife's lace factory...
Zélie and Louis experience their work as directly serving God, their family and their employees. Through the Vital Romet circle, they question the moral and social obligations of employers; they are also concretely committed to serving their fellow human beings: professional relations, employees, neighbours, acquaintances, etc.
